Leave the car at home and take your bicycle to Fenway because this weekend, you can valet park your bike for free.
The Red Sox and MassBike have launched Fenway Park Bike Valet, a free bicycle valet parking service for Red Sox ticket holders.
The pilot program for the bike valet service will begin this weekend, with free valet parking available for Saturday night’s game and Sunday afternoon’s games against the Royals. MassBike reports that up to 200 people per game are anticipated to use the parking service.
“MassBike is thrilled to partner with the Boston Red Sox to encourage more people to ride bikes,” MassBike Executive Director David Watson said. “Biking is the fastest way to get in and out of Fenway at game time, and once people see how fun and easy it is, they are more likely to make bicycling a regular transportation choice.”
The bike valet at Fenway Park will be located outside Gate D on the corner of Yawkey Way and Van Ness Street.
The service will open two hours prior to game time and close one hour after the game ends. It has not been announced if the program will extend beyond the pilot test this weekend.
