Jackie Bradley Catches… A Reason to Keep Watching the Red Sox

The last place Red Sox are playing and planning for next season, but there are still reasons to keep watching the games. Most notably is the defensive play of Jackie Bradley, Jr.

You’ve seen tremendous catches by Bradley again and again this season, and he did it one more time yesterday.

Bradley went full sprint into the wall at the Trop Sunday, making a running grab and robbing the Rays’ Evan Longoria of extra bases in the sixth inning of the Red Sox 3-2 win yesterday.

Bradley was confident he could make the grab as soon as the ball left Longoria’s bat according to MLB.com.

“Yeah, I did,” Bradley said. “I got a good read off of it and just tried to track it down.”

Chances are this isn’t the last web gem we’re going to see from the 24-year-old center fielder before the 2014 campaign is finished.
