The Red Sox couldn’t complete the sweep in Toronto, falling to the Blue Jays 5-2 in their midweek series finale. After a day off on Thursday, they begin a four-game set in St. Petersburg with the Rays, their final trip to the Trop of the season. Chris Archer, who piggybacked on David Price’s comments about David Ortiz back in July, gets the ball for the Rays, while the Sox will counter with Anthony Ranaudo, who was just recalled from Pawtucket to make the start.
