Clay Buchholz starts for the Red Sox today, hoping to give the Sox an edge in their four-game series with the Tampa Bay Rays after a 7-0 loss Saturday. He’s also hoping to end a three-game losing streak of his own accord.

Notes: Rusney Castillo made his American debut Sunday in the Gulf Coast League. The GCL Red Sox are taking on the GCL Yankees in Forty Myers. It’s the second game of the their 3-game championship series, with the Sox leading 1-0. Castillo singled in his first at-bat .. After Saturday’s game, the Red Sox traded outfielder Kelly Johnson and minor leaguer Michael Almanzar to the Baltimore Orioles for infielder/outfielder Jemile Weeks and infielder Ivan De Jesus Jr. .. This is Buchholz’s 12th road start of the year. He is 3-3 with a 4.56 ERA. He’s looking to snap a three-game losing streak. .. Buchholz is pitching against the Rays for the first time this season. The last time he faced the Rays, he pitched 5.0 shutout innings to claim a win Sept. 10, 2013.
