McGINEST CAMPAIGNS FOR PATRIOTS RETURN: Former Patriots linebacker Willie McGinest, who served as a guest analyst on NFL Network on Wednesday and chatted with fans on NFL.com, used his media platform to say he’d be open to finishing his career with the Patriots if the team was interested. In his chat, he wrote:

“I enjoyed my run there. Don’t count me out, I might spend my last year in New England. … All I can say is that it has to be the right team and the right situation, and the Patriots are on that list. …”

MORE ON JASON TAYLOR: Jason Taylor said he was flattered to hear comments from Patriots owner Robert Kraft that it was up to Taylor himself if he wanted to play for New England. But according to one of Taylor’s former teammates, Taylor’s heart remains in South Florida. “I went fishing with J.T. two weeks ago; he wants to be a Dolphin,” linebacker Channing Crowder told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
