FOXBOROUGH — (FINAL, Patriots 35, Jaguars 7): The Patriots clinch the AFC East Division title, completing the regular season with an 8-0 home mark. The Patriots end the regular season at Houston next week.

(4th, 1:24, Patriots 35, Jaguars 7): Brady is out of the game and Brian Hoyer comes in. Patriots are on the Jaguars 5, facing fourth and 2.

(4th, 6:13, Patriots 35, Jaguars 7): The Jaguars announce Atiyyah Ellison is out with a knee injury and will not return.

(4th, 12:37, Patriots 35, Jaguars 7): Taylor gets his first carry of the game, gaining 2 yards. It is his first carry since being injured in Week 4 against Baltimore.

(4th,12:41, Patriots 35, Jaguars 7): Garrard breaks a couple of tackles and runs in for the 2-yard touchdown. So much for the shutout. Jaguars drive 70 yards on 5 plays, 2:13.

In the meantime, fans are having a little fun as Moss goes back and forth with a fan on the video board doing his separation-celebration pose. The fans started chanting “Randy-Randy.”

(4th, 15:00, Patriots 28, Jaguars 0): Game is flying along here at Gillette Stadium. Fred Taylor is on the field for the first time as they wait to start fourth quarter.

(3d, 0:50, Patriots 28, Jaguars 0): The Jaguars announce that Tory Holt has gone in for X-rays on his finger.

(3d, 4:05, Patriots 28, Jaguars 0): Wes Welker just pulled in his 10th catch of the game, his seventh 10-reception game this season, which ties him for the league record also held by Andre Johnson.

(3d, 6:26, Patriots 28, Jaguars 0): Shawn Springs gets his first interception of the year, ending Jacksonville’s 16-play drive that lasted 8:34 before Garrard threw his second interception of the game. The Patriots start on their own 10.

(2d, 0:45, Patriots 28, Jaguars 0): Moss gets his second touchdown of the day, catching a 6-yard pass in the end zone. It completed a seven-play, 67-yard drive in 2:06.


(2d, 2:00, Patriots 21, Jaguars 0): Moss is back on the field

(2d, 2:20, Patriots 21, Jaguars 0): Randy Moss limps off the field after a play. He’s walking gingerly along the sideline, but is not being treated.

(2d, 5:04, Patriots 21, Jaguars 0): Morris runs in for the 1 yard touchdown to complete a six-play, 75-yard drive in 3:03. Connolly was in at fullback again. The 55-yard run earlier in the drive tied a career-long for Morris.

(2d, 5:58, Patriots 14, Jaguars 0): Dan Connolly comes in again at fullback and helps create a large hole for Morris to gain 55 yards. It is the third time Connolly came in on third and 1. Each time, he has helped the Patriots pick up the first down.

(2d, 8:07, Patriots 14, Jaguars 0): Two nice plays by Tully Banta-Cain, getting the sack and then stopping Jones-Drew before he can get any significant yardage. Two plays later, Jaguars punt. Patriots start at their own 25.

(2d, 10:18, Patriots 14, Jaguars 0): Patriots go three-and-out and have to punt. Maroney has yet to step back on the field since the fumble. Jaguars take over at their 38.

(2d, 14:54, Patriots 14, Jaguars 0): Jaguars announce tight end Marcedes Lewis is out with a head injury and his return is questionable.

(2d, 14:54, Patriots 14, Jaguars 0): Tight end Chris Baker catches a 26-yard touchdown pass from Brady to capitalize on the turnover. It is the second touchdown of the season for Baker, completing a two-play, 27-yard drive.

(1st, 0:06, Patriots 7, Jaguars 0): Brandon Meriweather intercepts David Garrard’s pass and returns it 56 yards to set the Patriots up at the Jaguars 27. It’s the end of the quarter and the Patriots are facing second and 9 from the Jaguars 26. It is Meriweather’s fifth interception of the season.


(1st, 2:48, Patriots 7, Jaguars 0): Jack Del Rio’s gamble on fourth dwn proves costly as the Patriots take just four plays to get into the end zone. Brady connected with Randy Moss in the back of the end zone for the 2-yard TD. The play completed a four-play, 35-yard drive that took 1:59. Highlights on the drive included Sammy Morris rushing 21 yards on the first play.

(1st, 4:47, Patriots 0, Jaguars 0): Big play by the Patriots defense as the Jaguars go for it on fourth and 1 from their 35. Warren broke through the line and sent Jones-Drew scrambling. James Sanders caught Jones-Drew to stop him a yard short, giving the Patriots the ball at the Jacksonville 35. Happiest guy in stadium may be Maroney as Jaguars fail to score on his turnover.

(1st, 5:35, Patriots 0, Jaguars 0): The Jaguars just took a timeout. They are motoring down the field behind Maurice Jones-Drew. They are at their own 35-yard line facing third and 1. Ty Warren gets in during this drive.

(1st, 9:36, Patriots 0, Jaguars 0): Ruling on the field stands. The Jaguars take over on their own 1. John Henderson is credited with the forced fumble and Daryl Smith recovered.

(1st, 9:36, Patriots 0, Jaguars 0): What looked like the makings of the best offensive drive of the year for the Patriots, ended with Laurence Maroney fumbling at the 1-yard line. Patriots coach Bill Belichick just threw the challenge flag.
