Forbes puts Patriots in Top 5

Forbes annually puts out these lists that rank teams against one another. And they can alternately be a source of pride (for an organization’s success) and something to dispute (in, say, a labor negotiation).

Whatever way you want to look at it, the Patriots did well in the latest version of Forbes’ ranking of the world’s most valuable sports franchises. They have the Kraft family’s operation ranked fifth, valued at $1.36 billion with revenues topping $300 million. Forbes writes … Built Patriot Place adjacent to Gillette Stadium, featuring shopping,
dining and entertainment …
Under the valuation. Here’s the top 10:

1. Manchester United $1.83 billion
2. Dallas Cowboys $1.65 billion
3. New York Yankees $1.6 billion
4. Washington Redskins $1.55 billion
5. New England Patriots $1.36 billion
6. Real Madrid $1.32 billion
7. New York Giants $1.18 billion
8. Arsenal $1.18 billion
9. New York Jets $1.17 billion
10. Houston Texans $1.15 billion

… Interesting that six of the Top 10 are from the NFL. And 11, 12 and 13 were the Eagles, Buccaneers and Bears, which makes it nine of the Top 13.
