Week 9: Friday practice update

The Patriots are practicing inside Gillette Stadium today, as they often do on Fridays, and are in shells (soft pads) and sweats after a physical day in full pads yesterday.

There were three players not spotted during the media-access window: Tully Banta-Cain, Fred Taylor and Jarrad Page.

We likely won’t get an indication of the reason for Banta-Cain’s absence until 4 p.m., when the injury report comes out. But it is surprising that he was not present.
