Good morning —
It is a cloudy morning on the shores of Lake Erie as some of the pre-game activities are happening on the field below us. Service members are practicing the flag presentation, and a number of players are going through early, early warm-ups.
New England assistant strength and conditioning coach Harold Nash, after his usual pre-game ritual of running the stairs in the lower bowl of all Pats’ games, home and away, put LB Brandon Spikes through some drills. Spikes was added to the Pats’ injury report on Friday with a knee injury, and is listed as probable.
In case you missed the news last night, New England downgraded S Patrick Chung to out because of his knee injury; it is the second game he’ll miss after injuring his knee in San Diego.
Also, Logan Mankins has been activated for the game, and it is fully expected that he will start in his usual spot between Matt Light and Dan Koppen.
We’ll post updates throughout the day, including our live game blog.
