Loss ‘eye-opener’ for the Patriots

FOXBOROUGH — It was a quiet locker room at Gillette Stadium today as players wrapped up their meetings.

After a 34-14 loss against the Cleveland Browns yesterday, the players were in watching film and going over the intricate parts of yesterday’s loss at Cleveland Browns Stadium.

Veteran tight end Alge Crumpler said a win or a loss doesn’t change the process of preparing for another week.

“I think for us our goal is to move forward and be positive about it and be very critical of ourselves individually about what we have to do to get better,” Crumpler said. “When you have a loss like this, self evaluation is the goal. …”

Cornerback Kyle Arrington called yesterday’s loss “an eye opener” and said that he expects to see more intensity in practices this week.

“… I think the important thing is that we stick together after a week like that,” Arrington said. “As long as we stay focused, stay together and start playing as a team, I think we’ll be in pretty good shape.”
