Tom Brady threw three touchdown passes and set an NFL record for pass attempts without an interception as the Patriots defeated the Bills 34-3 and earned a first-round bye and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.
Brady broke a record set by Bernie Kosar in the 1990-91 seasons (308). Brady has now thrown 319 times without being picked off. Brady completed 15 of 27 attempts for 140 yards.
Tight end Rob Gronkowski caught two touchdown passes from Brady, and Alge Crumpler caught another. The Patriots improved to 13-2, and will get an extra week to prepare for the playoffs. The wild-card round is Jan. 8-9, with the divisional games Jan. 15-16. The Patriots conclude the regular season next Sunday at home vs. the Dolphins.
BenJarvus Green-Ellis had 19 carries for 104 yards and Danny Woodhead ran 13 times for 93 yards and a touchdown.
The Bills had seven turnovers and fell to 4-11. It was the 15th consecutive time the Patriots have beaten the Bills.

Spiller looked like he let go of the ball after he hit the field but it was ruled a fumble after Belichick challenged the play on the field. It was the Bills’ fourth turnover of the game. LB Dane Fletcher recovered the fumble.
8:20 3rd quarter: Patriots 31, Bills 3 — The Patriots went three-and-out on their last drive as Tom Brady’s third-down pass to Wes Welker was broken up by the Bills’ Paul Posluszny. Posluszny blew up Welker on the play.
9:27 3rd quarter: Patriots 31, Bills 3 — After a 40-yard pass from Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick to Donald Jones, the Patriots locked the Bills down on the next four downs. Vince Wilfork batted down a pass at the line of scrimmage and Fitzpatrick overthrew Jones in the end zone as the Bills turned the ball over on downs.
11:27 3rd quarter: Patriots 31, Bills 3 — Tom Brady threw another 8-yard TD pass to TE Rob Gronkowski. The drive was set up by an interception by Jarrad Page. Gronkowski is now tied with the most touchdowns by a tight end in Patriots history with nine. The drive was three plays, 11 yards in 44 seconds.
12:11 3rd quarter: Patriots 24, Bills 3 — Jarrad Page picked off Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick as the Patriots take over in the Bills red zone.
12:56 3rd quarter: Patriots 24, Bills 3 — The Patriots managed only three plays after a penalty to start their opening third quarter drive. Zoltan Mesko punted the ball away to the Bills’ 12-yard line.
End of the 2nd quarter: Patriots 24, Bills 3 — The Patriots are continuing their winning ways against the Buffalo Bills so far today. Tom Brady has thrown two touchdown passes today. One to Rob Gronkowski and another to Alge Crumpler. Danny Woodhead broke loose for a 29-yard TD run and Shayne Graham kicked a 34-yard field goal for the Patriots.
Woodhead has 72 yards on eight carries today. BenJarvus Green-Ellis has 66 yards on 10 carries.
Brady is 8 of 15 for 75 yards.
The Bills are led by Fred Jackson’s 61 yards on eight carries. Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick is 9 of 19 for 125 yards with an interception and fumble.
The Patriots’ Patrick Chung has an interception and LB Gary Guyton forced a fumble that Jerod Mayo recovered.

2:24 2nd quarter: Patriots 17, Bills 3 — Patrick Chung intercepted a pass by Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick to give the Patriots the ball on the Bills’ 27-yard line.
3:57 2nd quarter: Patriots 17, Bills 3 — Wes Welker dropped two passes before Shayne Graham kicked a 34-yard field goal to give the Patriots a two-touchdown lead.
7:32 2nd quarter: Patriots 14, Bills 3 — The Bills drove to the Patriots’ 32-yard line but couldn’t muster anything out of it. On fourth down, Ryan Fitzpatrick dropped back to pass and found receiver Steve Johnson. But he dropped the pass on a big hit by Jerod Mayo.
12:27 2nd quarter: Patriots 14, Bills 3 — Tom Brady connected with TE Rob Gronkowski twice, the latter an 8-yard TD pass to put the Patriots up 14-3 over the Bills. Brady hit Gronkowski for a 23-yard pass to set up the score. Gronkowski made a nice catch on the play, reaching back with one hand for the grab. The scoring drive was nine plays, 80 yards in 4:25.
End of the 1st quarter: Patriots 7, Bills 3 — The Patriots go into the second quarter leading the Bills after a 29-yard touchdown by Danny Woodhead. The Bills struck first on their opening drive with a 26-yard field goal by Ryan Lindell.
1:52 1st quarter: Patriots 7, Bills 3 — Gary Guyton forced a fumble on a scrambling Ryan Fitzpatrick and Jerod Mayo recovered in the game’s first turnover.
3:46 1st quarter: Patriots 7, Bills 3 — Danny Woodhead found a crease and exploded for a 29-yard touchdown through the hole as the Patriots took over the lead. The Patriots’ scoring drive was four plays for 48 yards in 1:48.
5:42 1st quarter: Bills 3, Patriots 0 — The Patriots’ Jerod Mayo broke up a pass to Bills running back Fred Jackson and Darius Butler followed up by breaking up a pass intended for receiver Donald Jones as the New England forced Buffalo to punt.

Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick did look like he connected with receiver Steve Johnson in the end zone on a fade route, but it was ruled out of bounds after Johnson failed to get his second foot in. The drive was 10 plays, 64 yards in 4:57.
