Jets place Damien Woody on IR

The Jets’ offensive line has been dealt a blow, with the team announcing today that veteran right tackle (and former Patriot) Damien Woody has been placed on injured reserve, ending his season.

Woody, who had been battling a knee injury, hurt his left Achilles’ tendon in the Jets’ final drive against the Colts on Saturday night.

“He will undergo surgery today,” coach Rex Ryan said.
