Herzlich makes cut with Giants

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — The New York Giants have opted to keep cancer survivor Mark Herzlich on their 53-man roster.

How long Herzlich stays with the club remains to seen, but the former Boston College linebacker who was signed as a free agent after failing to be drafted can at least say he survived the final cut.

It is clear that Herzlich was on the roster bubble, and teams always make moves before their season opener. So it is uncertain whether he will be on the roster for the season opener at Washington.
