FOXBOROUGH — Eli Manning orchestrated a game-winning touchdown drive, throwing a 1-yard TD pass to Jake Ballard with 15 seconds left as the Giants beat the Patriots, 24-20.
Manning was 20 of 39 for 250 yards and two touchdowns, besting Tom Brady, who had put the Patriots ahead with 1:36 remaining on a 14-yard TD pass to Rob Gronkowski.
Brady finished 28 of 49 for 342 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions.
The Patriots fell to 5-3 and into a tie for first with the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills in the AFC East.
0:15 4th quarter: Giants 24, Patriots 20 — Eli Manning threw a 1-yard TD pass with 15 seconds left to put the Giants went ahead.
The play capped an 80-yard drive that took 1:21.
The key play was Patriots safety Sergio Brown’s pass interference on Giants receiver Victor Cruz that gave the Giants the ball at the Patriots 2.
1:36 4th quarter: Patriots 20, Giants 17 — Tom Brady threw a 14-yard TD pass to Rob Gronkowski as the Patriots reclaimed the lead.
The Patriots’ drive lasted only 1:27, carving up the Giants’ secondary.
3:03 4th quarter: Giants 17, Patriots 13 — Eli Manning threw a 10-yard TD pass to Mario Manningham in the corner of the end zone, giving the Giants the lead right back.
The Giants were helped on the drive by a 35-yard pass interference call on Patriots CB Kyle Arrington.
7:08 4th quarter: Patriots 13, Giants 10 — Stephen Gostkowski added his second field goal of the game, this one a 45-yarder, as the Patriots took their first lead of the game. It capped a nine-play, 53-yard drive.
Tom Brady targeted Chad Ochocinco twice on the drive, but couldn’t connect. Brady did connect with Rob Gronkowski for 27 yards.
11:03 4th quarter: Patriots 10, Giants 10 — Vince Wilfork and Kyle Love managed to make a big stop on Giants RB D.J. Ware in the backfield, and then the Patriots got pressure on Eli Manning to force another Giants punt.
14:28 4th quarter: Patriots 10, Giants 10 — Tom Brady threw a 5-yard TD pass to Aaron Hernandez, who made a Giants tackler miss before diving into the end zone.
The score capped a seven-play, 80-yard drive that spanned 2:41. It more closely resembled the Patriots offense we’ve seen throughout the year, with darting passes to Wes Welker and Hernandez. Welker caught passes of 27 and 28 yards on the drive.
End of the 3rd quarter: Giants 10, Patriots 3 — Wes Welker now has eight grabs for 127 yards in the game. He’s got the Patriots in the red zone going into the fourth quarter. It’s the 20th 100-yard game for Welker in his career.
2:09 3rd quarter: Giants 10, Patriots 3 — Patriots CB Kyle Arrington picked off Eli Manning in the back of the end zone to give the Patriots the ball back.
3:54 3rd quarter: Giants 10, Patriots 3 — Another three and out for the Giants. Unfortunately for the Patriots, Julian Edelman fumbled on the ensuing punt return.
5:29 3rd quarter: Giants 10, Patriots 3 — Stephen Gostkowski kicked a 32-yard field goal as the Patriots capitalized on the Giants’ turnover.
8:30 3rd quarter: Giants 10, Patriots 0 — After an incomplete pass on third down to Danny Woodhead, Zoltan Mesko’s punt was muffed by the Giants’ Aaron Ross. The Patriots’ Rob Ninkovich recovered.
9:10 3rd quarter: Giants 10, Patriots 0 — Brandon Jacobs ran in a 10-yard TD for the Giants on the first play after a sack and strip of Brady. Brady was sacked by LB Michael Boley trying to throw. The ball came free and LB Jacquian Williams snatched it out of the air.
10:09 3rd quarter: Giants 3, Patriots 0 — Lawrence Tynes kicked a 22-yard field goal as the Giants put the first points of the day on the board. The field goal finished off a seven-play, 57-yard drive that spanned 3:29. The Giants took shots across the middle of the field, with Eli Manning completing a 30-yard pass to TE Jake Ballard and finding WR Victor Cruz toward the the sideline for 18 yards.
13:38 3rd quarter — Tom Brady was intercepted for the second time, this one by Giants safety Deon Grant. This time, he was aiming for Rob Gronkowski in the seam and didn’t get enough height on the pass to avoid Grant.

End of 2nd quarter — Stephen Gostkowski missed a 27-yard field goal, after an 11-play drive that took the Patriots to the Giants 8-yard line.
Tom Brady also missed an outstretched Aaron Hernandez on third down, narrowly missing a TD.
The Patriots punted four times in the first half.
1:13 2nd quarter — Wes Welker went down on the field for a moment after taking an awkward hit and fall from Giants LB Michael Boley.
3:20 2nd quarter — Another three and out for the Giants. The Patriots secondary is not giving Eli Manning any easy reads to make.
4:49 2nd quarter — The Giants’ Jason Pierre-Paul sacked Tom Brady for a 4-yard loss on third down, forcing the Patriots’ fourth punt of the game. Afterward, a scuffle ensued.
6:28 2nd quarter — The Giants followed with a fumbled snap of their own to kill their drive, along with a holding penalty, and their fifth punt of the game.
10:59 2nd quarter — Tom Brady almost fumbled a snap from C Dan Connolly in the shotgun, but managed to hold on. Unfortunately, it allowed for some quick pressure from Giants end Dave Tollefson. Brady fired off a pass to Danny Woodhead while avoiding the sack, but it was incomplete. Another punt for the Patriots.
13:14 2nd quarter — Patriots DE Mark Anderson is now making plays outside the trenches. He tipped an Eli Manning pass to force a punt.
14:52 2nd quarter — A Tom Brady pass was tipped by Giants LB Michael Boley and then intercepted by Mathias Kiwanuka for the game’s first turnover. It stunted the Patriots’ best drive today after eight plays.
End of the 1st quarter — The Patriots are driving at the end of the quarter, keyed by a 25-yard pass from Tom Brady to Wes Welker. Brady also scrambled 5 yards for a first down.
3:59 1st quarter — Gerard Warren and Vince Wilfork got pressure on Eli Manning on third down and the Giants went three and out.
5:24 1st quarter — The Giants’ Chris Canty disrupted the Patriots on third and 1, tripping up Tom Brady on his handoff to Danny Woodhead and the RB was wrapped up by safety Deon Grant for a 1-yard loss. It was a three and out for the Pats.
7:12 1st quarter — Patriots LB Brandon Spikes blew up Giants TE Jake Ballard on third and 9.
The Patriots defense came up with two good plays on the Giants’ second drive. LB Rob Ninkovich helped break up a pass to Ballard two plays prior to Spikes leveling him.
10:58 1st quarter — The Patriots open with three straight runs to BenJarvus Green-Ellis, including an 18-yarder on the team’s first offensive play. But on third and 5, Tom Brady’s pass to Aaron Hernandez only comes up with four yards, forcing a punt.
13:23 1st quarter — The Patriots’ pass defense showed some life on the first drive. Devin McCourty had good coverage on Giants receiver Mario Manningham on third and 2 to force a punt after four plays. Manningham dropped an earlier pass on the drivel.
15:00 1st quarter — The Patriots won the opening coin toss and elected to kick. Game on.
