Rain or shine, Patriots practicing outdoors

FOXBOROUGH — The Patriots have announced that even with the threat of rain today the team will hold its practice outdoors on the lower practice fields as usual.

With a 35 percent chance of rain by 3 p.m., the team tweeted via its official Twitter account that it would practice outdoors “rain or shine.”

The practice will be from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. and is open to the public. On Thursday, more than 12,000 fans showed up for the team’s first public practice.
