Training Camp Daily Briefing: Brady watch is on for final camp practice

Disaster has been averted, but the Tom Brady Watch is still on for Thursday’s walk-through type practice with the Buccaneers.

Brady’s left knee injury isn’t serious — just a minor sprain, according to two sources — but we don’t know if he will be back at practice Thursday or if he will play in Friday night’s preseason game against the Buccaneers. ESPN’s Ed Werner reported Thursday morning that Brady “intends” to practice and play upon re-examination, but we’ll see if the Patriots are willing to take that risk after the knee-injury scare.

In other news, Thursday is the last practice of training camp, meaning it is the last day for fans and media to watch the full practice. Starting next week, practices will be closed to the public, and media will only get to watch the first 30 minutes. So soak up the beautiful weather and enjoy one last day of practice, because this will be your last chance to watch one until next July.

With that, let’s get on with the Patriots Daily Briefing:
