Week 2: Monday injury report

FOXBOROUGH — Since the Patriots host the Jets Thursday night, both teams are required to submit injury reports beginning Monday.

The Patriots held only a walkthrough, but listed running back Shane Vereen as not participating because of his wrist; Vereen reportedly underwent surgery earlier in the day to repair a broken bone in his wrist.

New York listed 21 players on its report, including four who were not able to participate; quarterback Mark Sanchez (right shoulder) was among that group.
