FOXBOROUGH — Patriots quarterback Tom Brady still has confidence in the team’s depth on the roster, despite injuries to running back Shane Vereen, wide receiver Danny Amendola, and tight end Zach Sudfeld.
Vereen had surgery on his left wrist Monday after suffering a break against the Buffalo Bills Sunday. He finished the game with 101 yards on 14 carries. Amendola aggravated a groin injury against the Bills. He ended up with 10 catches for 104 yards. And Sudfeld suffered a hamstring injury Sunday, limiting him to 20 snaps.
“We’ve got a lot of good players in the locker room,” Brady said. “So when people are injured, that’s why you have a deep roster, guys that you’ve got confidence in, that you’ve gained trust in. I certainly have that at the skill position.
“So we’ve got a lot of good running backs and lot of good receivers. We’re trying to do the best we can this week to go out and win a very challenging game against a very good team.”
