Amendola joins Gronkowski as questionable for Sunday

FOXBOROUGH — The Patriots and Falcons have released their final injury reports of the week. On the positive side, the Patriots have upgraded wide receiver Danny Amendola (groin) from doubtful to questionable for Sunday night’s game, meaning they’re officially saying there is a 50-50 chance he will play.

However, it seems unlikely that Amendola will be ready to go; he appeared to be moving better in practice this week, but there is a lot of stopping/starting/cutting involved at his position, and that requires healthy groin muscles.

The Patriots listed tight end Rob Gronkowski (back/forearm) as questionable, along with tackle Sebastian Vollmer (foot). Vollmer did not practice Wednesday or Thursday; typically, players not practicing Thursday do not play in that week’s game.

The Patriots did declare special teamer Matthew Slater (wrist) as out,

The Falcons declared running back Steven Jackson (hamstring) as out, and former Patriots cornerback Asante Samuel (thigh) was added to their report as questionable.
