Wes Welker Handed Out $100 Bills at the Kentucky Derby

Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker was so elated with the result of Saturday’s Kentucky Derby that he began handing out $100 bills to random Derby-goers after the event, according to a couple of attendees on Twitter.

Race fan Marc Blanford told USA Today that Welker approached his group with a police officer and a big wad of cash, telling anyone within earshot that he had “just won the Kentucky Derby.”

“I think six of us ended up with $100 bills,” said Blandford.

Another race-goer tweeted a similar story.

Welker, of course, is known around New England for his generosity, once giving away an entire Super Bowl to the New York Giants.
