Report: Patriots Trade For Defensive Tackle Jerel Worthy
The Patriots have made a second trade on Tuesday, this time acquiring defensive tackle Jerel Worthy from the Green Bay Packers.
Worthy’s agent, Chafie Fields, tweeted out the news of the trade.
Pending physical @packers DT @I_AM_Worthy99 traded to @Patriots! Will help Pats D-line right away.

According to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky who covers the Packers, the Patriots will send a future draft pick to Green Bay if Worthy passes his physical. He’s currently been rehabbing from a back injury that’s kept him off the practice field.
#Packers will receive a future pick from the Patriots, but only if Worthy makes the team, according to an NFL source.

Worthy, 6-2 and 308 pounds, is a third-year pro out of Michigan State. He played only two games in 2013 and 14 games in 2012, starting four games for the Packers while accumulating 11 tackles, 2.5 sacks and a forced fumble.
