The Patriots have released offensive lineman Chris Martin, according to a report by the Boston Globe’s Shalise Manza Young.
Martin, a rookie out of Central Florida, signed with the team going undrafted and spending time with the Houston Texans. He had been injured for the entirety of the Patriots offseason practices and preseason.
If Martin is still injured, he could possibly be waived with an injury designation and converted to injured reserve. At 6-5 and 305 pounds, he projected to play tackle for the team. He also played tight end in college.
