Kacie McDonnell says goodbye to NESN
NESN television anchor Kacie McDonnell announced Tuesday’s edition of “NESN Sports Today” would be her last show at the network.
“I want to take a minute now to thank you, all of the fabulous New England viewers as well as each and every one of my incredible colleagues,” McDonnell said on air. “[Tuesday] is my last show here at NESN, but I’ll tell you what, this place is very special. The past three years have been beyond wonderful for me. I’ve made both memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.”
McDonnell, 29, joined NESN in August 2016.
“No shortage of championship parades, either,” she continued. “Even got a ring here with the Red Sox. So, thank you for embracing this Philly girl because now Boston will forever have a piece of my heart. Again, thank you. I hope you have a great night.”
NESN did not respond to a request for comment.
McDonnell’s contract was set to expire this month.
