Around the AFC East
Let’s take a spin around the AFC East.
Miami (2-1):
The Dolphins, who have home wins over the Broncos and Panthers, are coming off a bye. First-year coach Nick Saban has made an impression on some players during halftime of games. Interesting stat: The Dolphins haven’t allowed a third-quarter point on defense.
Next up: at Buffalo
Buffalo (1-3):
After a season-opening win over the Texans, the Bills have dropped three straight after a 19-7 setback to the host Saints in San Antonio. Two areas seem to be garnering significant attention: the decline of the team’s defense and the struggles of quarterback J.P. Losman.
Next up: vs. Miami
N.Y. Jets (1-3):
The visiting Jets totaled eight first downs with Brooks Bollinger at quarterback, losing 13-3 to the Ravens. Bollinger might be giving way to Vinny Testaverde.
Next up: vs. Tampa Bay
Looking ahead, we’ll plan on posting our next update Tuesday.
