First quarter quick hits

* Rian Lindell’s missed 46-yard field goal continues a trend in which opposing kickers have struggled at Gillette Stadium. Opposing kickers have made 31 of 49 field goals since Gillette opened in 2002, the second lowest percentage in the NFL from 2002-present.

* Tedy Bruschi was on the field for every defensive snap.

* Andre’ Davis, not Bethel Johnson or Tim Dwight, was the third receiver into the game.

* On third down, the Patriots took defensive linemen Vince Wilfork, Jarvis Green and Ty Warren off the field. Defensive backs Hank Poteat and Ellis Hobbs, and linebacker Tully Banta-Cain entered the game.
