If you were still hoping to jump on the Gronk as erotica protagonist train, it may be too late.
The Boston Globereported Thursday that Amazon has removed “A Gronking to Remember’’ from its virtual shelves due to objections over the jersey the Pats’ tight end wears on the book jacket. In the photo, Gronk wears a jersey circa 2011, emblazoned with a patch reading “MHK.’’ Those patches were worn in memory of the Myra Kraft, wife of Pats’ owner Robert Kraft, who passed away in July of that year.
Author Lacey Noonan told the Globe via email that she “didn’t understand at the outset that Robert Kraft wouldn’t want Myra Kraft and her philanthropical works associated with this.’’
Noonan told Boston.com earlier this week about her journey from software developer to nationwide phenomenon erotic fiction writer. Let’s hope this minor setback doesn’t deprive us all of the next book (as the now forbidden jacket tells us) in the Rob Gronkowski erotica series.
