Tom Brady cares about football — you may have heard — but it seems the legend of his work ethic grows every day.
According to The Washington Post’s Sally Jenkins, Brady’s wife Gisele Bundchen told Patriots owner Robert Kraft she’d recently stumbled upon her husband studying film at 3:30 a.m.
So is it true?
“It may not’ve been quite that early,’’ Brady said on The Dennis and Callahan Show. “But I’m always, usually in front of my computer at some point –’’
“Does it say game film or adult film?’’ Callahan interrupted.
“Game film only,’’ Brady said, laughing.
Jenkins’s story indicated — as many have opined — that Deflategate has motivated the New England Patriots quarterback to work harder than ever to prove ball pressure had nothing to do with Brady’s four Super Bowl wins and 16-years of success.
But late-night film study isn’t unique to his “revenge tour’’ season. From The Post:
“[Dallas Pioli, wife of former Patriots general manager Scott Pioli,] told them the usual things about how Tom was the first one in the building and the last one to leave. But then she said, “He comes back at 11:30 at night when no one is around.’’ Scott Pioli had begun getting phone calls from security guards at the stadium that the kid was trying to get into the building to do extra work in the dead of night. Pioli drove over to check, and there was Brady’s car in the lot at 1 a.m.’’
It sounds like the same guy who, upon meeting Kraft, told the Patriots owner he was the best decision the organization ever made — It sounds like Tom Brady.
