Carson Wentz is studying to be a great NFL quarterback, so he’s studying Tom Brady.

The North Dakota State prospect and likely top 10 draft pick has begun recognizing the great qualities in the NFL’s best signal-callers.

“Names that come to mind that I’ve learned from are Tom Brady—the way he gets the ball out and is so decisive,’’ Wentz told MMQB.com. “You can tell he is in total control out there. Another name is Aaron Rodgers, and how he’s in total command. And also, Cam Newton, the way he has fun. I love that part of it. I won’t be as flashy as him, but I love the energy. That’s what I like to bring to practice and bring to games, just the energy and emotion.’’

If Wentz can emulate all of those qualities, prospects will be studying him someday.
