The Patriots will visit with veteran defensive tackle Terrance Knighton on Monday, according to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport.

During Knighton’s 2015 season with the Washington Redskins, he finished with 29 tackles and 1.5 sacks. The run-stopping defensive tackle, nicknamed “Pot Roast,” has missed only four regular season games in his eight-season career.
The 6-foot-2, 295-pound defensive tackle’s visit comes after Nick Fairley signed with the Saints despite the Patriots’ interest. The Patriots have had turnover at defensive tackle during the 2016 offseason, as former Patriots Akiem Hicks and Sealver Siliga departed in free agency.
According to Rapoport, the Redskins are also interested in re-signing Knighton.
