Tom Brady snuck a huge compliment into his birthday wishes for Bill Belichick.

New England’s favorite quarterback wished New England’s favorite coach a happy 64th birthday via Facebook on Saturday. In the message, he referred to him as “the greatest coach of all time.” Roughly a week ago, Belichick called Brady “the greatest quarterback of all time.”

It seems that the Patriots’ coach and quarterback feel the same way about each other that the team’s fans feel about them both.

“I just want to thank everyone for their birthday wishes,” Belichick said in an Instagram post from Saturday. “‘When I’m 64’ used to be a Beatles song, now it’s a reality for me. I’m happy to be here and thank you for all the –“

The video appeared to cut off a bit early. Of course, it wouldn’t have been a true Belichick interaction with technology without some difficulties.

So many wonderful birthday wishes for Bill today! Sending many heartfelt thanks back to you all!

As Brady alludes to in his Facebook post, Belichick selected the former Michigan quarterback in the 2000 NFL Draft on the April 16, 2000, Belichick’s 46th birthday. So in a way, Brady was Belichick’s gift to himself.
