Colbert’s audience seemed quite happy about Tom Brady’s Deflategate suspension

There was cheering.

Tom Brady’s reinstated suspension for his role in the Deflategate saga (it will never die) made all the headlines yesterday, including ones on Monday’s The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

The audience actually cheered — loudly — when Colbert mentioned Brady’s suspension on the show.

But ha-ha, joke’s on them! In the words of Colbert himself: “Tom Brady will be denied the joy of 300-pound men trying to kill him. Instead, he is stuck with a month of vacation, and nothing to console himself but millions of dollars, his still-valid championship ring, and his supermodel wife.”
