Watch Tom Brady become a lead ‘blocker’ for LeGarrette Blount
Unusual technique.
LeGarrette Blount ran back across the field to pick up a first quarter first down against the New York Jets during Sunday’s clash at MetLife Stadium, but that wasn’t the main feature of the play.
Instead it was quarterback Tom Brady, who rallied to Blount’s aid as a makeshift blocker. The Patriots’ quarterback, nursing a knee injury, wasn’t exactly the first person that New England fans wanted to see getting into harm’s way. Yet his presence as a lead blocker proved effective, even if he didn’t technically block anyone:
