Tom Brady Sr. has a big problem with the way Roger Goodell and the NFL treated his son during the Deflategate saga.

The elder Brady didn’t mince words in an interview with KRON 4 News, calling the NFL commissioner’s actions “beyond reprehensible.”

“He went on a witch hunt and went in way over his head, and had to lie his way out in numerous ways,” Brady Sr. said. “The reality is that Tommy never got suspended for deflating footballs. He got suspended because the court said that Roger Goodell could do anything he wanted to do to any player for any reason whatsoever.”

Earlier this week, Goodell told Fox Sports host Colin Cowherd “it would be an honor” to present Brady and the Patriots with another Lombardi Trophy if they defeat the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl LI. Naturally, Brady Sr. had some thoughts about that.

“It should be an honor,” Brady Sr. said. “Somebody that has Roger Goodell’s ethics doesn’t belong on any stage that Tom Brady is on.”
