Bill Belichick doesn’t normally speak at length about any of his players (or coaches). But in Tom Brady’s case, he made an exception.

Asked if Brady put forth any extra effort in the 2016 season, perhaps to do with revenge over the Deflategate controversy and being suspended for four games, Belichick brushed that logic aside. He contemptuously defended Brady’s work ethic in every prior season over the quarterback’s career.
