Roger Goodell says that his relationship with Patriots owner Robert Kraft was “never strained,” but the NFL commissioner appears to still have some beef with other members of the Patriots organization as a result of the Deflategate fallout.

Following New England’s Super Bowl LI victory, defensive coordinator Matt Patricia wore a shirt, produced by Barstool Sports, that featured Goodell with a red clown nose. He was photographed in the tee while disembarking from the team’s plane at Logan International Airport.

The picture was taken back in February, but according to Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio, a league source says that Goodell is still “miffed” by Patricia’s t-shirt choice.

Despite the ongoing drama between the two sides, the commissioner still plans to attend the NFL kickoff game at Gillette Stadium on September 7. It will be the first time he has visited Foxborough in over two years.
