ESPN reporter Adam Schefter may be facing a bit of competition at work, though the competitor is an unlikely candidate: his 8-year-old daughter.
An aspiring “interviewer,’’ Dylan Schefter went behind-the-scenes with the New England Patriots, interviewing the players as her NFL Insider father usually would.
But not without adding in her own flair.
“You’re known for rocking sweatshirts,’’ Dylan asked Bill Belichick. “What’s your wardrobe this season?’’
“Uh, yeah, still, I’m going with the sweatshirts,’’ he responded.
Dylan won an arm-wrestling competition with Rob Gronkowski (but accused him of not even trying), got advice from Danny Amendola, and bonded with Tom Brady over her plans to attend University of Michigan, where both her dad and Brady went.
“Who wears the football pants in your family, you or Gisele?’’ she asked Brady, to which he responded, “I wear the football pants. I would never let her play football. Are you crazy?’’
She also asked some of the players whether it’s more difficult to be a father or an NFL player.
“All of my teammates listen to me. My kids don’t,’’ he said. “So I think it’s probably easier being a quarterback than a dad.’’
Dylan Schefter later appeared on NFL Live and said Brady was her favorite interview, and not only because of his NFL superstar status.
The two have a lot in common, she said. She plans to attend his alma mater, and they both love avocados.
And Dylan’s next stop?
She’s hoping for an interview with LeBron James.
