On the opening drive of the second half, one of the Patriots’ big offseason acquisitions got his first touchdown catch from Tom Brady.

Brandin Cooks, who was traded to New England from New Orleans prior to the 2017 season, reeled in a 44-yard touchdown grab. The 23-year-old ran clear of the Texans’ coverage. His touchdown gave the Patriots a 28-20 lead early in the third quarter:
