Stephon Gilmore did his job Sunday afternoon.
With less than two minutes remaining in the AFC Championship, the Patriots cornerback broke up a crucial pass attempt between Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles and wide receiver Dede Westbrook.
On fourth-and-15, Gilmore was able to bat the ball down to crush Jacksonville’s season — and shot at the Super Bowl. New England regained possession following the play and held on for the 24-20 victory.
