FOXBOROUGH – The reports of a rift at One Patriots Place are not something that was on Tom Brady’s radar screen.
“I have no reaction,’’ the quarterback said after Saturday morning’s two-hour camp practice wrapped up when asked about the reports of turmoil between he, coach Bill Belichick, and owner Robert Kraft.
Brady, speaking publicly for the first time this offseason, abruptly ended the five-minute session after being asked what his reaction was to people linking Julian Edelman’s suspension to his business partner, Alex Guerrero.
“I have no comment,’’ he said. “That’s just ridiculous. I’m out. See you guys.’’
Brady touched on a number of subjects, including the return of offensive Josh McDaniels (“He’s one of my best friends … I’m glad he’s on our team.’’), his offseason family time, and how he feels entering his 19th season.
“It’s been good to get out here and get out here and get to work. We’ve got a lot of work to do – it’s just the beginning,’’ said Brady. “Obviously not a lot of things are perfect at this point. So we’re just trying to focus on one day and try to get better and improve certain things. A lot of things need to be corrected. So, we talk about the things that need to be corrected and try to improve them at the next practice. So, it’s exciting.’’
