After waiting months in anticipation of the Tom Brady magic that had been missing from their lives, Patriots fans had to wait a little bit longer when the star quarterback didn’t play in the team’s preseason opener against the Redskins last week.
But they didn’t have to wait long Thursday night for the 41-year-old to see the field and wreak havoc. After the defense forced a quick three-and-out, Brady entered to a massive ovation.
He started the night with three passes to James White for a total of 19 yards and a feed to Phillip Dorsett for a gain of four.
After a handoff to White, Brady found familiar target Chris Hogan for a four-yard touchdown. Brady danced to avoid the pressure and fired a strike to Hogan for the quarterback’s first score since the Super Bowl against these same Eagles.
