CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Alex Guerrero will not be on the Patriots’ sideline for Friday’s game against the Panthers, according to a league source, but he did fly on the team plane to North Carolina Thursday afternoon.

It was the second sighting in two days of Guerrero, Tom Brady’s fitness guru, body coach, and business partner in the TB12 franchise. Guerrero made a quick appearance in the locker room following Wednesday’s afternoon practice.

Guerrero had long been a fixture on the sideline during home and away games for the Patriots the last few seasons but those privileges were revoked last season. Additionally, he was only allowed to work with Brady at his office inside Gillette Stadium. Guerrero has a long history of working with Patriots players going back to Willie McGinest. He still works with several current players, most notably receiver Julian Edelman and tight end Rob Gronkowski. It’s unknown if Guerrero will be allowed to work on other players at his stadium office or if he’ll continue to treat them at the TB12 facility located nearby at Patriot Place.
