Ted Wells spent 243 pages investigating whether Tom Brady and the Patriots deflated footballs. Ace Davis used a simple tri-fold poster board for his deep dive into the same question, which won the Millcreek Elementary science fair.
Davis, a 10-year-old at the Lexington, KY school, described the motivation behind his choice of subject in an interview with Draft Diamonds.
“Because I hate Tom Brady, he’s been accused of cheating before, I want him to be caught,” he said.
Davis’s project asked “Is Tom Brady a cheater?” and concluded “The Patriots were found guilty of doctoring football, thus losing $1,000,000 and future draft picks. Tom Brady is indeed a cheater.”
His father, Christopher Davis, wrote on Facebook that he won the science fair and will be moving on to district.

Brady wasn’t the only Patriot to draw Davis’s ire. He also stated that “Julian Edelman takes steroids” while predicting Rob Gronkowski will get “shut down” in Super Bowl LIII as the Rams win 30-14.
Asked what he would tell Brady if he could share one message, Davis said, “Gimme some of your money, you don’t deserve it.”
