It’s no secret that Tom Brady attributes a lot of his success in the NFL to the effort he puts in to working out and eating healthy.
Brady has built his football longevity into an entire lifestyle brand, TB12 Sports, which has spawned a book, gyms, and now a recipe for one of Brady’s staples.
Here’s the recipe, released in a blog on the TB12 Sports website.
4 ounces almond milk
4 ounces hemp milk
1 teaspoon hemp seeds
1 teaspoon chia seeds
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
1 tablespoon almond butter
2 tablespoons TB12 whey protein isolate
1 cup frozen blueberries
1/2 cup frozen banana
Combine all ingredients in a blender until smooth, serve, and enjoy!
TB12 whey protein isolate is available for purchase on the TB12 Sports website for $50, however, any whey protein would likely work as a substitute (and is likely to run cheaper). The finished smoothie contains 630 calories and 34 grams of protein, according to the website.
If you really want to feel like a future Hall of Fame quarterback, you can follow Brady’s typical morning, which, “starts at 6 a.m. He drinks 20 ounces of water with electrolytes and usually follows up with his favorite smoothie recipe,” according to the recipe blog post.
