Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was one of several NFL players to read mean tweets about themselves during Thursday’s episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”
Brady kicked off the recurring segment, which began in 2012 and features celebrities reciting and reacting to uncomplimentary remarks written by Twitter users, by reading a message that called him “a cry baby.”
“Hi,” he read off a phone screen. “I’m Tom Brady and I am a cry baby and I have a butthole in my chin.”
Brady then pointed to his chin and gave the camera a bemused look.
The next tweet was a bit harsher.
“F*** you Tom Brady you fat bitch I hope you cry,” it read.
A smiling Brady replied, “I do cry, too.”
The third tweet elicited the strongest response from the 42-year-old quarterback.
“F*** you Tom Brady,” it read. “I hope your dog eats chocolate and gets really sick and throws up on your sock.”
“That’s f***** up,” said Brady, who is a dog owner.
The tweets are not dated.
Brady’s teammate Sony Michel also participated in the segment — “Sony Michel more like Panasonic Michel so far” — as did Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Corey Clement, Joey Bosa, Devin Funchess, Todd Gurley, Jay Ajayi, Clay Matthews, Jared Goff, Michael Irvin, and Terry Bradshaw.
