Gilmore, who played three seasons at South Carolina from 2009-11, posted a photo on Instagram, posing with South Carolina coach Dawn Staley.
“Popped up at USC to watch [Staley] and @gamecockwbb take on UConn – it was a W!” he wrote.
South Carolina (23-1) beat Connecticut (20-3) handily, 70-52. It was the first victory for the Gamecocks since the series began in 2015.
