BC’s Greg Brown joins Rangers’ coaching staff

Greg Brown is leaving BC for the New York Rangers

NEW YORK — Greg Brown and David Oliver are joining the New York Rangers as assistant coaches.

The Rangers on Tuesday announced the additions to coach David Quinn’s staff.

Brown has been an associate head coach at Boston College for the last six of his 14 seasons at the school. The Eagles won the NCAA title three times while he was there. Brown coached several current and former Rangers while at Boston College, including Chris Kreider and Kevin Hayes.

Oliver spent the past 11 seasons with the Colorado Avalanche, most recently as director of player development. Oliver worked with Quinn in the AHL.
