Notre Dame (Tyngsborough) gets 300th volleyball win

The Notre Dame (Tyngsborough) volleyball team swept the Red Devils in three games, 25-15, 25-15, 25-14, in Chelsea Tuesday for the program’s 300th game. The Lancers (9-0) began playing in 1991 and have an all-time record of 300-226.

“I think it’s great for the school to get some recognition,” said coach Rob Mahoney. “I think

there’s a lot of pride in that.”

Mahoney talked with his team about the potential of the milestone was on the horizon, and made it one of their goals for the season.

Notre Dame has been led by its four returning starters: junior outside hitter Cathryn MacGregor, senior middle hitter Colleen Martin, senior setter Jordan Blazak, and senior outside hitter Panusha Yarlagadda.
