Brockton senior Kevin Fortes scored twice and junior goalkeeper Collin Frederick kept No. 1 New Bedford out of the net as the No. 20 host Boxers pulled off the 2-0 upset in boys’ soccer Tuesday afternoon.

“It’s nice but we’re focusing on getting ready for the [MIAA state] tournament,” said Brockton coach Richard Robens. “This is all in preparation for the tournament.”

New Bedford was missing its leading scorer, senior forward Klisman Sousa, who was out Tuesday for disciplinary reasons.
