Seeking its first win of the season, the Bridgewater-Raynham boys’ basketball team ventured to Brockton Thursday night and came away with a 74-71 victory behind 23 points from Jaime Carey.
The Trojans (1-2) but jumped out to an early lead and held a 32-23 advantage at the half.
The Boxers (0-2) tied the game at 46 at the end of the third quarter and held a 1-point lead with just over two minutes to go, but B-R pulled away in a high-scoring final quarter. Carey scored 10 points in the fourth, including his team’s final 5.
Trojans senior Joe Freiday finished with 13 points, 16 rebounds, and 6 blocks, and classmates Rashad Bell and Alex Rose each added 12 points and 10 rebounds. Full story for BostonGlobe.com subscribers.
