Someone changed Millbury’s Goff Street to “Brady St.” Please don’t, police say.
"While we did get a chuckle out of this, there could’ve been serious consequences that accompanied this."

After Tom Brady and the Patriots beat Jared Goff and the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LIII, someone apparently tried to honor the “GOAT” by renaming Goff Street after him in the town of Millbury.
In a Facebook post Monday, local police shared a photo of the unofficial “Brady St.” sign. They seemed to appreciate the sentiment but said the switch was not OK.
“While there’s no denying that Tom Brady is the GOAT……the town has not changed Goff Street to Brady St.,” police wrote on Facebook. “And while we did get a chuckle out of this, there could’ve been serious consequences that accompanied this.”
Police said the joke, which was corrected, could have posed an issue for ambulance crews not familiar with the town responding to an emergency there.
“Thankfully there were no issues,” police said. “Goff Street will be getting its identity back. GO PATS!!!”
